MAKING GIFTS OF STOCK

If you'd like to make a gift of stock, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Jane Mitchell, Major Gifts and Planned Giving Manager.

2. Provide the following information:
   • Date:
   • Donor Name:
   • Address:
   • Name of Stock:
   • Number of Shares:
3. United Way will provide you or your brokerage firm representative with specific account numbers to facilitate the transaction.
4. Arrange to have the securities transferred to the United Way's account at:
   • TD Bank Wealth Management
   • Attn: Stacy M. Putnam

5. Once the brokerage firm(s) receive the security, they will send United Way of Chittenden County a confirmation that the stock has been received.
6. United Way will match the stock received with your pledge information and send an acknowledgement letter.
